July Favourites

Helloooo!

Geez, August already. Only one more month of summer :( But anyway, here are my favourite products of the last month, some of which I hauled recently.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
Of course this is my favourite, it's quite obvious. But I have been using this palette every day and I love it to pieces! As I've said before, if you don't already have it, get it like NOW. You wont regret it.
MUA Liquid Liner in Shade 2
Becky from Beckysblog put this in her June Faves video so I went and bought it, as it's only £1, and I love it too! I never wore coloured liners until now, I think it's so pretty. I'll probably go back and buy more colours.
Claire's Nail Polish (unnamed) Glittery Blue/Green
I'm currently wearing this polish on my toes and it looks sooo cool! I really like glitter polishes, I need more!
Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels
I only got this a couple of days ago but I already love it. I didn't have a cream blush before this one but liked the idea as they seem more natural and would give a glow to your cheeks which would be nice for summer. When I bought it, it lived up to these expectations so now I love it :)
OCC Lip Tar in Grandma
I wore this in a recent video and I really liked it. I'm not used to wearing bright lip colours, I don't think I'm brave enough, but I really want to because they're such a fun trend for summer. And the fact that it's a lip tar is awesome, they're the best lip product ever.

I hope you enjoyed this, if you wish to watch the video then click here. I hope you're all having a nice summer so far!

Nails of the Day - Rainbow with White Crackle

Howdy everyone!

Once again, sorry for the lack of posts and videos, last week i went on holiday to Ireland which was lovely but I'm glad to be back and get back in the game!

Here's my latest nail look, I bought some nice polishes over the last week and decided to play around with them and I came up with something bright and summery!

The pink and the yellow from Claire's don't have names or numbers unfortunately but they are recognisable in the shop or you can get similar colours very easily from other brands.

The green is Green Grass from Rimmel London
The blue is Sea Breeze from 17
The purple is Indigo from Barry M
The crackle is White Instant Effects from Barry M

I used a base coat to stop them from staining (as recommended on the green, blue and purple) and I used MUA's clear polish as a top coat.

I hope you like the NOTD, please follow this blog and subscribe etc :)

Urban Decay Naked Palette: Haul, Review, Photos and Swatches

Hey everyone!

Sorry there's been a lack of posts and videos recently, been really busy, but I only have 4 days left of school before the summer holidays so hopefully I'll be getting lots done then :)

So when I went to see the last Harry Potter film on Friday (which was incredible, by the way!) I swung by my nearest House of Fraser and picked up the Urban Decay Naked Palette which I have wanted since it first came out! I am sooo excited and couldn't wait to review/haul/swatch it for you so I decided to combine everything into this post.

I bought it for £32 which is really good value as that would make each eyeshadow roughly £2.70, and that's a bargain for their amazing quality! The newer edition comes with an eyeshadow brush and mini Primer Potion instead of their duo eyeliner in Zero/Bourbon. I think this is better because it means you can do your eyeshadow on the go.

(L-R)Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar
 Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse
 Toasted, Hustle Creep, Gunmetal
 Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar
Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse
Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

Good points:
Nice, sleek packaging - good for travel
Beautiful, versatile, pigmented colours
Brush and Primer Potion included
Great value
Magnetic lid

Bad points:
No slot for Primer Potion in palette
Only 2 matte colours (but I prefer shimmery, so it's a matter of opinion)
Hard to find - out of stock a lot

I hope this was useful to you guys, and if you want to see the video that accompanies this review thing, click here. Please follow this blog and subscribe to my channel! x

Makeup Collection & Storage

Hi everyone!

I recently got some new storage stuff and moved my room around so I thought I'd do a little collection and storage video for you. Of course I'm not bragging or anything, as you can see my collection is quite modest, but I think it's quite impressive for someone who only started collecting at the beginning of this year.

Overview of my setup
All of my brushes in a cute pink pot from Paperchase
My palettes in a matching letter rack from Paperchase
 My drawer unit from IKEA
Top drawer - Tools, lashes, hair stuff, nail files/clippers
Second drawer - Eyeshadow of all sorts
Third drawer - Pencil liners, liquid liners, glitter liners, mascaras
Fourth drawer - Foundations, concealers, eye cream and primer
Fifth drawer - Lipsticks, lip tars, lip glosses and balms
Bottom drawer - Blush and face powders
Overview of shelves
 Top shelf - Nail Polishes
Second shelf - Moisturisers, nail polish remover, face stuff
Third Shelf - Hair sprays, body creams, jewellery (in pots)
Bottom Shelf - Sprays and perfumes

So that's everything I have; the shelves, drawers and desk are from IKEA and the light-up mirror is from No7. To film, I use a hand made camera stand out of my moisturisers and stuff and I use my normal bedroom light as well as the mirror light and sometimes natural light from my window if required (I live next to a main road so I don't like opening the curtains that much). To see the video tour, click here. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below, on the video or e-mail me :) Hope this was helpful x

June Favourites

Hey guys!

Can't believe it's nearly July! Time really does fly! Below are a couple of things I've been loving this month, some I've hauled for you and some are just products I've had for a while.

Topshop Lipstick in Nevada
I hauled this the other day and I am in love with it. I've been searching and searching for a nude lipstick with no frills and this is it! Most other colours are too yellow/orange or too dark for my skin tone but this one's perfect. I got it for £8 from the Topshop makeup section.
Maybelline Great Lash mascara in Black
After religiously using Colossal and Falsies, I came back to my old favourite and am loving it again. The wand is so straight forward and it combines with the lovely product to give separated, long lashes. I got it for £5 from Boots.
MAC Eyeshadow in Expensive Pink
This was also hauled a few days ago and it has crept it's way into my top 5 eye shadows! I like to wear this to school teamed with a light shimmery gold colour for a neutral look that isn't bland. I think the orangey gold tones in this eye shadow brings out blue eyes beautifully! I bought this for £11.50 from MAC.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
I had heard so much about this and was debating whether to fork out the £20-something for it when my mother told me hers was too light for her skin tone and that I could have it. I am absolutely head over heels for it now, I wear it everyday and it conceals my dark circles and highlights my under eye area to leave me looking fresh and awake! I would definitely repurchase this treasure, I can't live without it! You can get it in House of Fraser or Debenhams.
17 Lasting Fix nail polish in Forever
I got this in a 3 for 2 sale, not really thinking much of it, and wasn't really bothered to try it out but when I did, I swear the Angels sang! This is my favourite polish of all time and I am in no hurry to buy any others. It's a gorgeous nude brown colour, perfect for school or work, and it's simply amazing. I think it was only £2/£3 as well! Can be purchased at Boots.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Orange
I originally bought this as an eye shadow base, like all my other jumbo pencils, but discovered another use for it: a colour corrector for blue tones under the eye. I just dab it under each eye before my foundation and it works like a dream, and for only £1! In America I think it's around $4 but I got mine in a drugstore on sale. You can also puchase these from www.love-makeup.co.uk.

I hope this is helpful to some of you, I recommend every single product, they're all amazing! To view the video please click here and whilst you're there, please subscribe! :)

Nails of the Day - Bright Blue Cream

Hiya :)

So yesterday I went into boots to buy some new nail polish and I realised that I didn't own a standard blue cream! I thought it was one of those essential colours so I picked one up from 17 for £2.99 and thought it was lovely for summer.

It's from the 17 Lasting Fix range which I own 2 other colours from so I might do a review on them. The colour is Seabreeze and I used the MUA clear polish as a top coat. I really love this colour and I'm considering putting the matte top coat from ELF over to simulate Phoebe from Zoya's Mod Mattes collection but I haven't decided yet :)

I hope you like this colour as much as I do, if you have any other colours from this range, let me know as I'm eager to try some more.
